The Art and Technique of Applying Ayurvedic Hair Oil

It is very relaxing to get a head massage in a salon, as they apply oil and give pressure at the right points. Similarly, Ancient Ayurvedic texts have recorded a certain step-by-step technique to massage the scalp to give the best results for luscious and beautiful hair growth.

Step 1
Detangle your hair using a brush to remove all the knots to make the application process easy and help the oil spread evenly.

Step 2
Take one or two teaspoons of Amritha Varshini hair care oil and slightly warm it on a low flame. Warm oil penetrates the scalp and hair better. In case it is not possible to heat the oil, pour it into your palm and rub vigorously for a few seconds till the oil becomes mildly warm.
Step3
Gently, but firmly massage the scalp with your fingertips in a circular motion. Continue this for a few minutes. This will help the scalp absorb all the oil and improve the blood circulation to the roots.
Once the scalp is well massaged, apply oil to your whole length of the hair gently from the roots to the ends. Repeat until the whole scalp and hair is covered. For better penetration and absorption, wrap your hair with a warm towel.

Step 5
You can let your scalp soak in the goodness of the herbs for a minimum of 20 minutes. Leave it overnight for best results.

Step 6
Wash your hair using lukewarm water.
