How to take care of your hair during monsoon?

You must treat your hair as if it were a close relative in order to keep it strong and healthy. Hairs, like humans, require care, nutrition, and healthy habits in order to become better versions of themselves. Good hair makes you appear more confident, yet the monsoon season descends upon you like an evil spirit, destroying everything. Even if you try to carry an umbrella with you at all times during the monsoon season to protect your hair, your hair still becomes frizzy. So there are a few things you can do to protect your hair from the rain. Simply follow these simple recommendations to take proper care of your hair.

Keep your hair dry

Do you enjoy rain dances? I mean, is this even a question? What's not to appreciate about that? But we forget that rainfall is acidic and unclean, and it can quickly destroy your hair. Wet hair is more susceptible to damage. As a result, it's critical to maintain your scalp dry and clean.

During the rainy season travel, wear caps, raincoats, and umbrellas for protection. Also, if your hair becomes wet, don't tie it because it will cause more damage. Simply dry them out first. You can use ayurvedic hair cleansers in the shower to remove the filth from your hair caused by rain.

Apply Oil

Our grandmothers have always emphasised hair massage, but there is a reason for this. Massaging your scalp and hair with warm oil improves blood circulation to your hair follicles and nourishes your hair from the inside out. Twice a week, one should massage their scalp and hair. Massage your hair with ayurvedic oil for best results.

Oiling is essential during the monsoon season for deep conditioning your hair and preventing frizziness and unruliness. In addition, oils containing herbs such as Brahmi, amla, and Bhringraj nourish your scalp. These herbs promote hair growth and have a calming effect on the hair roots. These natural herbs play an important role in restoring balance to your disturbed dosha levels.

If you're not sure which ayurvedic oil to use, try our Amrtithavarshini hair oil, which contains these herbs for better hair growth and nourishment during the monsoon. Also, when combing wet hair, use wide combs.

Shampoo your hair twice

The shampoo is essential during the rainy season because germs from the air are attracted to the hair and cause harm. So, just like oiling, shampoo your hair twice a week.

Choosing a decent shampoo is vital because, during the monsoon, hair becomes frizzy, undernourished, and susceptible to fungal and bacterial diseases. To remove the rain residues on your scalp caused by rainwater, use a deep cleansing shampoo.

During the rainy season. Always remember to shampoo your hair from root to tip to get rid of all the dirt. To protect your scalp and hair against chemical deposits, use chemical-free shampoos and conditioners. Sulfates and parabens in shampoos harm your hair roots, devastatingly impacting your hair's overall health.

During the monsoon, natural and ayurvedic shampoos and conditioners are the greatest choices for strengthening your hair follicles. They protect hair against dandruff and microbiological diseases, as well as keep it free of grease. Natural hair conditioners such as aloe vera, Reetha, Hibiscus, Shikakai, Triphala, amla, and others can be used to give your hair a natural shine and smooth texture. Check out our Dhuni Natura ayurvedic shampoo, which is completely natural.

Remember to only use a wide tooth comb for your hair detangling. You want to get everything done right during the rainy season.

Hair masks

Giving your hair proper nutrition is just as crucial for their health as drinking water is for your existence. Providing them with the proper nutrients becomes even more vital during the monsoon season when the hair is more susceptible to damage and diseases. You can use various packs to feed your hair with the necessary nutrients.

Honey and Milk hair pack

It's excellent for hair that's been mistreated. Honey provides antioxidants that nourish the scalp and hair while also promoting hair development. Milk, on the other hand, nourishes the scalp while also softening the hair.

Take the appropriate amount of milk and mix in a few drops of honey. Apply the mixture to your hair and scalp gently. Massage your scalp and hair now. This pack nourishes your scalp while also cleaning the dust accumulated on your scalp due to the monsoon. Leave it on for about 30 minutes before gently rinsing it off with a mild wash.

Hair pack with curry leaves, fenugreek, tulsi, and green gramme

In a mixing bowl, combine equal parts of curry leaves, tulsi leaves, soaked fenugreek seeds, and green gram. To make a fine paste, grind all of them together. Apply it to your hair and scalp. Allow 30 minutes to pass before washing it off with soap and water or shampoo.

Mint and hibiscus paste

Take a couple of teaspoons of lime juice, mint leaves, and hibiscus leaves. Make a paste out of it and apply it all over your hair, from roots to tips. Wash it off with shampoo after 30 minutes.

You can also try our Dhuni Varsha ayurvedic hair pack, which is loaded with Amla, Vibhithaki, Haritaki, Bhringraj, Methi, Brahmi, Heena, and Curry leaves and aids in the regeneration and strengthening of damaged hair.

Have a Balanced Diet

Monsoon is all about hot, oily, and crispy foods like pakoras and eating deep-fried items, sour and salty foods that promote indigestion, bloating, and water retention, as well as worsening hair and scalp problems. So, as much as possible, avoid junk.

Consume a nutritious diet high in vitamins A, B, C, D, E, K, minerals and proteins. You can also eat salads, sprouts, leafy greens, seasonal fruits and vegetables on a regular basis to improve your hair's health. Also, drink as much water as you can to stay hydrated because it promotes hair growth.

Now that you know these tricks, you can relax and enjoy the rainy season without worrying about your hair's health. All you have to do is take care of your hair by following these simple recommendations, and no monsoon will be able to harm you. Best wishes for better hair days.
